About Us

Connecting the community through the arts, urban design, and tourism while preserving the cultural heritage in the greater Selma, Alabama region.

ArtsRevive is a membership-based, non-profit organization. Incorporated in 2003, ArtsRevive has grown in membership and in the type and number of opportunities it has presented to the community. This growth has happened because of the support of our members, corporate partners, and grants from foundations and government entities.

The Blackbelt region of Alabama is rich in talented artists with a desire to share their gifts. As you journey through the area, fertile soil gives way to a town rich in history and abundant with historic structures and surroundings that inspire creativity.

ArtsRevive believes that the arts offer an entry to economic and community redevelopment and can spur creative place-making in Selma and Dallas County. When community members, governmental leaders, artists and designers work together it increases the vibrancy and diversity in a place.

ArtsRevive sees its role as a vehicle to support individuals and organizations who are doing the good work in Selma and find opportunities to help sustain this place we call home.
